Jonathan loves helping people find as much joy in cycling as it has brought to his own life. He relies on his experience as a bike fitter, engineer and athlete when tailoring each clients cycling position to their specific needs.
Jeff Boyer is the Head Coach and Founder of B Athletic Multi-sport, an age group triathlon team and coaching business in Westchester, NY. He has over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry as a trainer, coach, and manager. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and one of the very few USA Triathlon Level 2 and Youth & Junior Coaches in the USA! In 2012, Jeff started the Team Barracuda Youth & Junior triathlon program to introduce kids to multi-sport. He is a two-time Ironman finisher, completed the NYC and LA Marathons, raced in countless 70.3, Olympic, and Sprint distance triathlons.
Bill Brenner is the Interim CEO for U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS), a national membership- operated nonprofit organization that provides membership benefits to over 60,000 Masters swimmers, 2500 coaches and adult learn-to- swim instructors and 1500 Masters swim clubs across the country.
Jonathan Cane is the co-founder of City Coach Multisport. He has been coaching endurance athletes for over twenty-five years. He holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology and has past or current certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Cycling, and is a FIST Certified bike fitter. Jonathan is a former Cat 3 cyclist and on rare occasions can still be seen competing in multisport events.
Seton Claggett is the Founder and CEO of TriSports.com. He is a seasoned veteran of the sport of triathlon, having competed in hundreds of triathlon and endurance events spanning more than two decades. He has raced events of all distances and has completed eight full Ironmans and has qualified for and competed in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI. He has a unique perspective on the sport since he both competes and works in the Industry.
Stephen Del Monte is the Founder and CEO of DelMoSports, LLC. A former social worker, youth athletic coach and middle school math teacher, he founded the company in 2004 with his wife Jamie in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. They specialize in elite destination events along the southern New Jersey shore and Delaware, with challenging courses, spectacular scenery and amazing vacation opportunities for athletes and their families. Now with over 7,000 finishers annually, DelMoSports’ participants travel from around the world and compete at every level, from beginner to elite.
Vicki Edwards is the Owner and head coach of East End Tri. For the past 10 years, Vicki has competed in the sport of triathlon at every distance (5 x IM competitor, countless half, Olympic and sprint distances) and has been fortunate enough to represent Team USA in Beijing, China at the Olympic Distance.
Vicki has coached athletes with East End Tri for 9 years now …on all levels, from sprints, to Olympic, to the Half, to Ironman, from finishing to podium. I have watched athletes endure on all levels. She currently holds the following certifications – Level 1 Coach, USAT Cat 2 Elite Official, USMS Level 1 & 2 Swim Coaching, Training Peaks Certified Coach, NASM Certified Personal trainer She is also a Corrective Exercise Specialist, helping clients with Movement Impairment Syndrome.
Sharon Evans is the Founder of IceWorks. While recovering from a car accident in 2013, an icepack leaked which lead to the creation of IceWork. After much annoyance with icing products, while suffering from injuries, Sharon worked to create a product that was comfortable, reusable, and practical. Being accident-prone and a former athlete was a great guide for Sharon to understand both the rehab and athletic needs of icing. This is how “Injury-Inspired Products” was born.
Ed Gabriels is a USAT Level I Certified Coach with Open Sky Training. He has been an Assistant Coach with Team-In-Training over the last six years and has coached for both the Brooklyn Tri-Club and JackRabbit Sports.
Ariel Garten is the Co-Founder and Chief Evangelist Officer at InteraXon, makers of Muse: the brain sensing headband. Ariel studied neuroscience at the University of Toronto and worked in labs at Toronto’s esteemed Krembil Neuroscience Centre researching Parkinson’s disease and hippocampal neurogenesis. Ariel is also a fashion designer whose clothing opened Toronto Fashion Week in 2003 and has had her work displayed at the Art Gallery of Ontario. She is also trained as a psychotherapist with her own private practice, focusing on clients with anxiety disorders.
Richard Gertler is an enthusiastic cyclist and Founder of Gertler Law Group. Richard is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association having served on numerous committees, including the Bankruptcy Committee, Litigation Committee, and Chair of the Joint Committee for Attorneys and Accountants. He is also a member of the Theodore Roosevelt Inns of Court and is active in several pupil groups.
Gina Herrera is a certified Yoga instructor. She is also a lifetime athlete, experienced soccer coach. She has trained under Sage Rountree to become a certified instructor of Yoga For Athletes.
Pam Kallio is the Customer Service and Distribution Center Manager at TriSports.com. She is also a Level 2 USAT Certified Coach with over 12 years of triathlon coaching experience, coaching athletes to achieve PRs and qualify for USAT Nationals and IRONMAN World Championships. Pam is an accomplished triathlete, winning her age group in 2014 and 2015 in IRONMAN Arizona and finishing two IRONMAN World Championships.
Alison Kreideweis is the Co-Founder and Head Coach of the Empire Tri Club. In 2014, she was named “Best Personal Trainer” in the Northeast on Competitor.com. Alison is a national fitness expert who has been featured in Fox 5 News, Fitness Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Fox 5 News, TRI Magazine, The Active Times, Well & Good NYC and The Town Journal. She has been competing in triathlons for 15 years, ranging from Sprint to Ironman distance including the Ironman 70.3 World Championships, Ironman Lake Placid, and USAT National Championship.
Bryan Krut is Head Coach and Owner of Open Water Swim Team. He has been a coach for the past 17 years and has been competitively swimming for 33 years. He is a Certified USA Swim Coach, Masters Swim Coach, Certified First Aid and CPR. Bryan Krut has held his title as one of the top Ocean Swimmers on the East Coast.
Noah Lam is President of CWI Medical. He went to Polytechnic University to become a rocket scientist and now uses this understanding of computational fluid dynamics and spreadsheets to grow his company, CWI Medical. CWI Medical helps those who need medical supplies to live a healthier lives. In between helping patients, you can find him literally running with his wife and 3 kids to a marathon or an Ironman Event.
Lisa Laws is the Co-Founder of the All Women’s Tri Team (AWTT) and a USMS Certified Coach Level I & II. She started her journey in June 2012, with her first mini indoor triathlon. Today, she is a 2x Ironman and has a lot of experience to share about her journey.
Sharon Levy, MSPT, is the Co-owner of Excel PT & Workout. She is a physical therapist, certified USAT Coach & ART Practitioner. She has over 20 years of experience rehabilitating and training athletes at her facility Excel PT & Workout in Manhasset, Long Island. She is an expert in the fields of injury prevention, rehabilitation and sport specific conditioning. Sharon is also an Ironman and frequent overall and age group champion triathlete.
Stéphane Marceau is Co-Founder and CEO of OMsignal, a VC-backed world leading smart apparel innovation company. He has been building technology and communication businesses for more than 15 years. Stéphane holds a master’s degree in Management of Technology from the University of Waterloo and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
Bob McKeown is the Head Coach and Owner of South Shore Tri Coach, and his team of coaches make triathlon a part of each athlete’s lifestyle. He is a 3x Ironman and USA Triathlon certified coach and US Masters certified swim coach. He has competed in the 2011 and 2012 USAT age group national championship qualifier.
Matt Miller is the President of BASE Performance Nutritional Products, the Official Electrolyte Salt of Ironman. Matt competed in his first Triathlon in 1988 at the Ironkids Triathlon racing against Hunter Kemper. Since then Matt has been heavily involved in the nutritional aspects of Long Distance Racing working with amateurs and professionals for more than 15 years. In addition to his work as a nutrition expert, Matt has guided blind athletes through more than 50 Triathlons and 6 Ironmans.
Kaitlin Moughty is Co-head Coach of Red Tide Masters Swim Team. She is started swimming at age 5 in Houston, Texas and finished her age group career in Connecticut with the Wilton Y Wahoos. As a Wahoo, she was a multi-time finalist at YMCA Nationals and was part of the 2003 Long Course National Championship team. She was named 2-time team captain and 4-time Patriot League First Team at American University where she holds the school record in the 400 IM.
Meghan Newcomer is a USA Triathlon Level II certified coach for Asphalt Green Tri Club. She has helped triathletes ages 6-66 achieve their goals. She also has a wealth of experience as an athlete having competed as both an age group and professional in 42 states and nine countries. In May 2016, she will complete Weill Cornell Medicine’s PA Program and plans to practice in Preventive Cardiology or Orthopedic Surgery.
Monisha Perkash is CEO and Co-founder at Lumo Bodytech. She is inspired by the vision to unlock the body’s full potential and improve human movement. Monisha previously served as CEO and Co-Founder of TuitionCoach (acquired by SimpleTuition in 2009), where she oversaw the financing, launch, and general management of the start-up. After the acquisition, she stayed on with SimpleTuition as VP Products. Monisha has an MBA from Stanford and a BA from Yale.
Shawn Powell is the Owner of SP Carbon Bicycles. He comes from a background in banking and has been a racer himself for many years. He has been at the helm of SPCARBON Bicycles, which provides hand built carbon bicycles in New York City, since its inception in 2009. Shawn has a passion for cycling and works closely with triathletes and road racers to improve on bike performance.
Dr. Janet Rogers is a Chiropractor and Nutritionist at Living Well Balanced, Manhattan’s one-stop shop for integrated wellness. She is a certified Eat to Perform coach, specializing in nutrition and training for enhanced athletic performance. She is also a CrossFit competitor, most recently placing 6th in her Division at the 2015 CrossFit Games.
Dr. Renee Sacharny is the Owner of Living Well Chiropractic. She is a 15-year veteran in the world of health and wellness, both in the fields of the body and the mind. Her specialty is in Functional Medicine as well as a specialized technique called Network Spinal Analysis, which is embraced by top athletes as well as Tony Robbins. By applying these tools, Dr. Sacharny helps top performers, athletes, speakers, and entrepreneurs regain their physical and mental vitality and energy.
Dan Schaefer, Ph.D. is the CEO of Peak Performance Strategies. Peak Performance Strategies has helped hundreds of athletes achieve their highest potential. He has developed breakthrough strategies in sports performance professionals: NFL, NHL, ultra and extreme runners, and professional and amateur triathletes.
Joan Axelrod Siegelwax is the President/CEO of Powerful Possibilities and EMP2 Coaching. Dr. Craig Smith PT DPT is the Owner and director of Smith Performance Center. He is a physical therapist, strength coach, researcher, and adjunct faculty at Northern Arizona University. He is a researcher and has authored many papers that have appeared in clinical trade publications. He focuses on movement impairments, dysfunctional gait, and running analysis along with long term athletic development with a focus on injury risk reduction and screening. His specialties include strength and conditioning programming, return to play evaluations, running and foot biomechanical analysis, and physical therapy.
Darryn Solotoff is a USAT and ASCA certified Triathlon and Masters swim coach. Darryn obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Performance and Human Movement from Ithaca College. He has over 20 years of coaching experience. Presently Darryn coaches individual triathletes for LITC/Team Runners Edge and is the Head Masters Swim Coach at Lifetime Fitness in Syosset. As an athlete, Darryn has participated in the sport of triathlon for over 15 years and has competed in multiple Ironman competitions, triathlons, duathlons and ultra marathons.
John Stewart is a triathlon coach for Race Day Coaching. Since 2004, he has prepared triathletes for all race formats. As a coach for the Brooklyn Tri Club, he coaches training camps and leads weekly brick workouts. John is the head swim coach for JackRabbit Sports in Brooklyn, he is also the Asst. Varsity Swim Coach for The Berkeley Carroll School and coaches their masters swim program. For six years, he has been the head triathlon coach for Team-In-Training in Brooklyn. John has competed in triathlon at a wide range of distances including Ironman. John Stewart is a USAT Level II Certified Coach and a degreed Engineer.
Magdalena (Maggie) Stovickova is a swimming instructor. She was born in Slovakia, former Czechoslovakia and became a competitive swimmer at the age of 8 where she won many titles on the National team. As she got older, she was a 5x Triathlon National Champion in Slovakia before she moved to the States. In 2001, she finished 13th overall at Ironman Lake Placid and her time of 10:35 guaranteed her a slot for World Championship in Kona. In 2004, she started racing on the ITU circuit and came close to making the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Unfortunately, injury set in and she had to take two years off. After that, she won dozens of triathlons including NYC. She has her Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports, majoring in coaching triathlon and swimming at Comenius University.
Danielle Sullivan is the Head Coach for Iron Fit Endurance, working with athletes of all levels. She had a very successful Ironman career as an amateur, placing as high as 2nd in her age group and 4th overall amateur woman in the World Championships in Kona, HI. Danielle went on to have a successful Professional career racing for the Zoot Ultra Team, placing consistently in the top 8 in her Ironman races and as high as 4th overall.
Mark Thompson is the Owner of Mark Thompson Acupuncture and Physical Therapy in New York City. Mark has spent the past 30 years learning and integrating the best from the Acupuncture and Physical Therapy fields. Incorporating an evidence-based approach for the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries, his practice is known in the New York City area as the place to go for powerful, innovative treatments. Mark has been on the faculty at Tri-State College of Acupuncture and the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine.
David Uprichard is the President of the Board of the Red Tide masters swim team. Active in the triathlon world since 2008, David moved to open water swimming in 2009. More at home in the open water than the pool, David can typically be spotted at various open water events (both local and further afield) during the Summer. David’s accomplishments include- Great North Swim (2 miles): 10th overall (1st AG), 46mins25seconds; NYC Triathlon (1.5k), 27th overall, 14mins44seconds and Ironman Lake Placid (2.4 miles) , 53mins26seconds, 11th overall (swim).
Vicki Ventura is the Race Director at EventPower Long Island. Vicki has over ten years experience in the event planning industry with a focus on multi-sport events. Vicki attended SUNY Cortland and earned a B.S. in Sports Management. Vicki’s passion for events, people and triathlons led her to the race director position in 2007, after years of volunteering and being a volunteer coordinator for the company.
Megan White is an RCAA Run Coach and USAT Triathlon Coach Level I for All Women’s Tri Team. She is an adult onset athlete and stumbled into her first triathlon by accident, on a whim, in 2009. She writes and lectures about triathlons and has completed many Olympic, half, and long distance triathlons.
Dr. Chad Woodard is the Principle Manager for Symbio PT. He has worked with the prestigious Harkness Center for Dance Injuries at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and later co-founded his clinic as well as joining his alma mater as the Director of Clinical Education and Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics. In addition to his work as a physical therapist and professor, Dr. Woodard is a highly sought-after athletics coach possessing expertise in fitness with certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is a triathlete, cyclist, marathon runner, and an IronMan finisher (Lake Placid 2011, NYC 2012, Mont Tremblant 2013, 2014, 2015, Cozumel 2014).
