Meet the NY TRI EXPO Staff…
Hilary Topper is the show producer of the NY TRI EXPO ’16. She did her first two triathlons — Las Olas Triathlon and Mighty Montauk in 2014. During the 2015 season, she completed Power of a Woman, Mighty NorthFork, NYC Triathlon, Nation’s Tri and USTA Age Group National Championships in Milwaukee. She’s planning on doing her first 70.3 in September 2016.
In addition to that, she is the CEO of HJMT Public Relations, a 24 year old public relations firm. She is Chief Curator of HJMT Media, which runs four blogs – NY Lifestyle Blog, A Triathlete’s Diary, Tech News Now and Hilary Topper On Air. The Expo is part of the HJMT Media entity.
Hilary is an early adopter of everything technology and wrote her first book, Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Social Media… in 2009. She was also an original Google Glass Explorer and talks about wearable and technology around the country.
Further, she is an adjunct professor at Hofstra University teaching both graduate and undergraduate level courses.
Lisa Gordon is the associate show producer. She has worked alongside Hilary for more then 10 years.
This Rochester native began her career studying journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and brings an incredible knack for writing and editing to the table- crafting eye-catching press releases, honing SEO friendly website copy and creating engaging blog content for our clients.
After a long day of being the queen of follow up for the HJMT clients and for the NY TRI EXPO, Lisa loves to cook and spend time with her husband Michael and dog, Reilly.
Elizabeth Montoya is the face behind much of the social media for the NY TRI EXPO ’16. She is also the producer of Hilary Topper on Air and she is coordinating the speaking opportunities at the expo.
In addition to her work on the expo, she also services HJMT’s clients. She simultaneously Instagrams, Tweets, Posts and Pins without so much as batting an eye. Elizabeth shows dedication in everything that she does for our clients- managing social media accounts 24/7, researching and composing engaging microblogs on a breadth of topics and fine-tuning each release or blog post that comes across her desk with the utmost attention to detail.
Hailing from right here on Long Island, Elizabeth graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and has worked her way up the ladder at HJMT since she began here in November of 2012. She is a Senior Account Executive at the firm.
Ashley Saurman is the logistics coordinator and office manager at HJMT Media Company, Inc. If you are a sponsor or exhibitor, Ashley will help you pick out the best location for your exhibit booth, she will collect any fees and she will coordinate you on day of logistics to make sure the event runs without a hitch.
Ashley has worked diverse jobs prior to HJMT. She attended Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and is the Queen of getting things done efficiently.
James Fitzgerald is new to our team. By day, he’s a Hofstra student and by other parts of the day, he’s an assistant account executive for the team. James does research for the expo, he assists in all aspects of the expo. James will be on site and you may also hear from him periodically as he assists both Ashley and Elizabeth.
